Agfa Launches ImPower Plus Generation II Film

Press release from the issuing company

Ridgefield Park / NJ, June 9 2003 – Agfa announced a new and improved version of its popular hard dot film ImPower Plus IF-R. ImPower Plus IF-R Generation II is ideal for use in any application and will be available in the second quarter of 2003. ImPower Plus IF-R Generation II is a red-sensitive film, intended for exposure in recorders with HeNe laser (630 nm) and red laser diodes (670 nm). Generation II offers wider exposure and development latitude and low chemistry consumption than other hard dot films. An improved scratch resistant coating means fewer remakes and higher productivity. “Our customers need a film that can improve their productivity and is more convenient to use, and ImPower Plus I-FR Generation II gives them that advantage,” said David Carey, Marketing Manager, CtF Systems. “Generation II is ideal for all printing applications and can be used with any HeNe laser and red laser imagesetters available today.” The ImPower Plus family of films consists of a range of high contrast hard dot films with the convenience of rapid access. ImPower Plus provides high contrast and brilliant sharpness, combined with consistent, high-performance. The ImPower Plus matte films are ideal for flexo platemaking. Agfa’s unique matting technology assures optimal film to plate contact and therefore error-free flexo platemaking. Increased productivity can be realized through improved batch-to-batch consistency and processing latitude without compromising dot quality and edge sharpness. ImPower Plus has been endorsed by photopolymer plate manufacturers.
