Transcontinental Honored By The Direct Marketing Association Of Quebec

Montreal, June 6, 2003 – Before an audience of over 400 people, Transcontinental was awarded the prestigious Board of Directors Prize at the 2003 Golden Arrow Awards Gala hosted by the Association de marketing direct et de la relation clientèle de Montréal (Direct Marketing and Customer Relations Association of Quebec). This award, given to a company that has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of the direct marketing industry as a whole, recognizes such attributes as the corporation’s stimulating developmental vision, its continent-wide leadership, and the quality of its services. “The company being honoured tonight is particularly worthy because of the fact that it integrates all media and manages to deliver top quality in all of the areas in which it offers services,” said Bianca Barbucci, President of the Association and Vice-President of Customer Service at FCB Direct. “After having consulted our members and some of the major players in the industry, we chose Transcontinental by a very large majority.” For his part, Domenic Mancini, Senior Vice-President of Transcontinental Printing – Marketing Products, said: “It’s always a great honour and very satisfying for a corporation to see its efforts and expertise recognized, particularly by an association representing customers. For Transcontinental, it is that much more satisfying since direct marketing printing and all of its related services is a segment in which we are the leader in Canada, and that has been identified as an important component of our development for the coming years.” The Transcontinental entities particularly deserving of this honour include direct marketing printing plant Transcontinental Direct (formerly Interglobe Montreal), contact center Transcontinental Sodema, and prepress facility Transcontinental Transmedia.
