InDesign Conference Expands to Tokyo

Minneapolis, Minnesota, July 23, 2007, Barrycon Productions, an independent event organizer for Adobe products and producer of the Creative Suite, InDesign, Vector and Pixel conferences, today announced the expansion of the InDesign Conference to Tokyo. Intended specifically for the publishing and printing professionals in Japan, the InDesign Conference is scheduled for September 12-13, 2007 at the Gate City Ohsaki, home of the offices of Adobe Systems Japan in Shinagawa. The InDesign Conference, the first of its kind in Japan, will include leading InDesign experts from both Japan and the United States, keynote sessions, actual case study presentations as well as exhibits by the event sponsors.
“Due to the demand for education and recent release of Adobe Creative Suite 3, we are hosting an all new InDesign conference specifically for the Japan design community,” said Barry Anderson, The Creative Suite Conference founder and organizer. “We are excited to bring this well-attended event to Tokyo with registration already growing.” 
Event sessions will be conducted in Japanese and for the few sessions led in English, consecutive translation will be provided. The conference chairman is Prof. Yuichi Inomata, head of the Graphic Arts Dept. at Tama Art University, and founder of Japan’s MdN Magazine. The keynote speech will be given by renowned Japanese designer Tzutom Toda. Other speakers and instructors include Mr. David Blatner, well-known U.S. InDesign Guru; Ms. Diane Burns, “Mother of Japanese DTP” and president of TechArt International; Mr. Kikuo Akabane of Graphine; Mr. Yoshinori Kikuchi of AR Design; Mr. Masaaki Kobayashi, Editor-in-Chief, MacFan Magazine; Mr. Nat McCully, Senior Adobe Engineer; Mr. Yuji Mori of InDesign Study Room; Ms. Mika Nakamura, Adobe InDesign Product Manager; Mr. Koji Ohsato of THINKSNEO; Mr. Shin Sobue; Mr. Kyoji Tahara from Toppan Printing Company; Mr. Keith Tang from Starlite Printing in Hong Kong; and Mr. Hiroshi Ueno from Profield Japan.
In conjunction to the event, there will also be an exhibition featuring the event sponsors including Adobe Systems Inc., MdN Corporation, Morisawa & Company, LTD., Japan Association of Graphic Arts Technology (JAGAT) and Japan Publishing Consortium (JPC).
