Creo: New Support for Color Central Users with WAVE Corp.

Press release from the issuing company

Vancouver, BC, Canada (May 27, 2003) – Creo announced today that it will partner with WAVE Corporation to offer users of Creo Color Central software technical support and affordable opportunities to migrate to InterSep, WAVE Corporation’s leading OPI application. Color Central is an OPI solution that automatically reduces image-file sizes for fast handling during production. Creo has signed an agreement with WAVE Corporation of Longwood, Florida to assume technical support responsibilities for Color Central software. The software development company has made a commitment to extend its world-class services and products to Color Central users. WAVE’s products include InterSep OPI, another leading OPI application that allows users to more productively manipulate large high-resolution images on the desktop. WAVE will assume responsibility for all technical support of the Color Central product line as of June 1, 2003. Current ScenicSoft or Creo customers with Color Central support contracts will receive service and support from WAVE under the terms of their existing contracts. Color Central users may call +1.407.830.9283 for support as of June 1, 2003. For Color Central users who do not currently have support contracts, WAVE will offer contracts directly through its worldwide support and sales channels. Color Central users will also be offered affordable migration paths to WAVE’s InterSep OPI. “As the market for standalone OPI solutions continues to evolve, we believe this partnership with WAVE Corporation will ensure that our Color Central users continue to have access to technical support that meets Creo’s high standards,” said Paul Verwilt, director, Production Planning Software Group, Creo. ”It will also provide our customers with additional OPI solution opportunities in the future, allowing them to maximize their investment in Color Central.” “We are extremely proud of the relationships we forge with our customers,” explains Ward Wright, managing director, WAVE Corporation. “By virtue of our installed base of InterSep OPI and MediaBank digital asset management customers, we support hundreds of companies, and our annual support contract renewal rate is over 93 percent. We will bring the same high level of satisfaction and access to world-class products to Color Central users.” Creo acquired Color Central software last year following the acquisition of ScenicSoft, Inc., the Lynnwood, WA developer of UpFront, Preps, Pandora, and TrapWise. Creo retains all rights to the Color Central intellectual property. Sales of the Color Central product will be discontinued. This agreement does not affect sales or support of any other Creo products.
