American Reprographics Forms Premier Accounts Business Unit

Press release from the issuing company

GLENDALE, Calif.--May 22, 2003-- The American Reprographics Company, the world's leading reprographic services and software provider, today announced the formal launch of ARC Premier Accounts, based in the corporation's Walnut Creek, Calif. operations office. The new business unit -- a sales and marketing organization focused on enterprise-level customers and prospects -- will acquire and service accounts with reprographic, document management and distributed printing needs that span wide geographical or organizational boundaries in the construction, manufacturing and the general business environment. The new vice president of ARC Premier Accounts, William Zablocki, is a 20-year veteran of the reprographics industry. Most recently, Zablocki was vice president of sales with National Reprographics in New York City. "It's clear that the analog-to-digital transition of document management, distribution and printing is having a profound impact on larger businesses," said CEO and Chairman S. "Mohan" Chandramohan. "More enterprise-level clients have approached us than we've ever seen before, and we're in a wonderful position to serve them. We have an unmatched geographic footprint, a digital infrastructure second to none, and a team leader in Bill Zablocki who can coordinate all those assets to the advantage of ARC and its customers." Since 1989 the American Reprographics Company has been a holding corporation for more than 50 independently operated reprographics companies. It has served its clients directly from more than 160 individual locations across North America. The new business unit will offer clients the services of the organization as a whole. The increasingly digital nature of contemporary reprographics work has driven a major change in the way work can be distributed and delivered -- a change that favors both the larger, national client, as well as the reprographers who have planned for it. The American Reprographics Company has built its robust digital network to take advantage of the anticipated change in its clients' workflow. Each locally-branded reprographics shop in the American Reprographics family of companies is part of a broadband-based, continent-wide, wide-area-network. Each facility is also linked to the company's Fremont, Calif. Technology Center, which employs more than 30 engineers who support the 200-plus technical specialists in the company's individual shops across the country. The Tech Center is also home to the company's remote database managers, as well as enormous capacity for high-volume file exchange and network traffic direction. Founded in 1988, the American Reprographics Company is a $424 million enterprise serving more than 110,000 customer companies in 22 states, the District of Columbia and Canada. The company's 60-plus operating divisions, with more than 3,500 employees, are the leading suppliers of reprographic services and technology to the construction industry, manufacturers, software and hardware development companies, corporate and law offices, marketing and advertising agencies, publishers, retailers and presentation graphics providers. Corporate headquarters is in Glendale, near Los Angeles. For more information, visit www.e-arc.com.
