MAN Roland names Susan Klutnick Western Regional Sales Manager for Commercial Web

May 21, 2003 -- Huntington Beach, California — Susan K. Klutnick, an executive with over three decades of experience running global printing and publishing operations, is the new Western Regional Sales Manager for Commercial Web at MAN Roland Inc. Klutnick’s territory covers the West and Southwest, ranging from Texas to California and north to Montana, excluding only Washington and Oregon. She reports directly to Vince Lapinski, Senior Vice President of Web Operations. Starting in the commercial printing business in Chicago right out of Loyola University, Klutnick soon moved to the West Coast. Her tenure with Interweb in Los Angeles coincided with a period of significant web printing industry growth in the West. With R.R. Donnelley after 1981, she moved from Customer Service to become a Vice-President of Manufacturing for the Magazine Group and Division Director of the Los Angeles Division in less than 10 years. In 1993, Klutnick became Western Field Operation Manager for Time Inc., responsible for manufacturing all of the company’s titles produced in seven Western states. Two years later, she moved to the Los Angeles Times as Director of Operations of the paper’s Olympic Facility. An active participant in industry associations, Klutnick has been on the Printing Industry of Southern California’s Board of Directors, the Ifra Operations Committee, and is currently on the GATF Board as well as the CalPoly University/San Luis Obispo Advisory Board to the Graphic Communications Department. MAN Roland’s new Western web representative received the Naomi Berber Award as the “Leading American Woman in Printing” from GATF in 1998.
