Burlington, MA (May 9, 2003) - Roll Systems announced today that Verizon in Massapequa, NY, has installed two new Roll Systems TwoUp Systems and seven AutoLoad Systems on their seven new IBM Infoprint 4100 HD3/HD4 printing systems. In addition, Roll announced that IBM has service certified these systems for operation with the 4100 HD3/HD4 and HS2, so that the same IBM support personnel who maintain the printers may now service the Roll equipment. Roll's TwoUp System at Verizon includes the new U5 unwinder and C7 cutter with new high-speed feature, as well as M2 merger and V3 stacker modules. The TwoUp System unwinds 50-inch diameter rolls into high-speed continuous digital printers, and cuts, slits, merges and stacks two-across printed output. AutoLoad System generates fanfold stacks of up to 10,000 forms and provides an easy, efficient way to process continuous output for mailroom operations. Inserters are also made more productive by bulk feeding of large stacks. As well as supporting the TwoUp and AutoLoad high-speed modules, IBM has service certified Roll's R4 Rewinder for operation on the 280 feet per minute 4100 HD3/HD4 and HS2 printing systems. As a result, customers can now run all three principle output formats - fanfold, cut sheet, and rewound - with Roll solutions on the latest IBM high speed printers, and have the equipment serviced by IBM.
