Press release from the issuing company

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--May 8, 2003-- Creo announces a new reseller agreement between Creo and Koenig & Bauer AG (KBA) for the sale of Brisque workflow solutions and related products for the KBA 74 Karat digital offset press in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. KBA is a strategic partner of Creo. The KBA 74 Karat digital offset press uses Creo on-press thermal imaging technology and the Brisque workflow. "We are very pleased to work with KBA in providing Creo imaging and software technology," explains Ilan Blaus, On-Press Technologies product manager, Creo. "The complete digital connectivity to Creo workflow helps the 74 Karat digital offset press produce short and medium print runs more efficiently and cost-effectively." The agreement authorizes KBA, the world's third-largest manufacturer of printing presses, to resell Brisque workflow solutions for use with the 74 Karat digital offset press workflow. Brisque version 4.1 has direct connectivity to the 74 Karat press thanks to a new connectivity kit embedded in the workflow. As part of the reseller agreement, Creo will provide KBA with marketing, sales support, and training. KBA will promote and sell Brisque workflow solutions and provide service for 74 Karat users. Creo will install the Brisque and related products purchased by KBA customers and will provide customer training and technical support. KBA is entitled to resell additional Creo products and accessories where Creo provides customer support in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The agreement also calls for cooperation between Creo and KBA for facilitating reseller agreements for Brisque workflow solutions and related products in the Americas and in Asia-Pacific.
