Press release from the issuing company

April 25, 2003 -- Adobe Systems has authorized a complete demonstration of the new collaborative tools and features of soon-to-be released Adobe Acrobat 6 at the upcoming IPA Technical Seminar, being held May 13-15 at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza, Chicago. Carl Young, Adobe Certified Expert and founder of the PDF Conference, will share new features including markup capabilities, options for consolidating various PDFs and office documents into a single file, support for a wider variety of graphic types, layers, and other key elements of this latest Acrobat release. Olaf Druemmer of Callas Software will review built-in preflighting tools and PDF/X generating capabilities. The 2003 IPA Technical Seminar also includes the first-ever North American Color Proofing Roundup and will provide attendees the rare opportunity to watch 18 proofing vendors work side by side as they output a suite of test files using dozens of proofing solutions. There will also be information on trends in the marketplace and advances in technologies that are driving our graphic communications businesses. Industry leaders will share their experiences with RGB workflows, color management, content management, digital photography, PDF/X and OS X. Attendees may download the test files to be used in the Color Proofing Roundup as well as register online for the IPA Technical Seminar at www.ipa.org/tech2003, or call IPA at (800)255-8141.
