Oce Document Designer boosts pre-press productivity

Press release from the issuing company

Poing, 25 April 2003 — Oce, a pioneer of innovative printing solutions, is unveiling a new software suite. The Océ Document Designer creates a unified document production workflow, from draft and design to production and data upkeep. The entire document workflow is defined on a simple point-and-click GUI, which accelerates the process of putting together the print jobs. The software handles all the standard data stream formats and can create print files for every make of digital press—which gives customers a genuine unified workflow. Thanks to the intuitive interface, only minimal user training is required for the Océ Document Designer, and this saves the enterprise time and money. The right solution for every environment The Océ Document Designer is the latest component in the Océ PRISMA workflow management software family. Océ PRISMA solutions automate the document workflow and push up productivity. A highly versatile tool, the Océ Document Designer is equally at home with transactional printing as with classical PoD products. It works with all makes of black-and-white and colour presses at full rated speed, and can deliver digital output as well. The feature-rich software can create layouts for AFP line data, import and create legacy-system print resources, SAP RDI data or advanced data. The "layout for advanced data" option is also suitable for creating and printing personalised documents with variable data in superb quality. As well as printing, the Océ Document Designer can also compose data for the web. It is ideal for both in-house print centres and commercial printers. The Océ Document Designer will have its first European showing at the Océ OpenHouse 2003 in Poing, Germany, from 20 to 24 May.
