RealTimeImage Announces Expansion Plans For Europe

Press release from the issuing company

April 21, 2003 - San Bruno, CA - RealTimeImage, the world's leading online proofing technology provider, is expanding its European focus following successful growth in the UK market and overall increased demand for its RealTimeProof suite of online proofing solutions. RealTimeImage is now growing both its direct sales team and its distribution channels in Europe. According to Yehuda Messinger, Executive Vice President, Graphic Arts Division, the company is implementing changes in response to successful company-wide results in 2002, as well as favorable growth in the online proofing segment. The expanded sales territories for RealTimeImage include Germany, France, Benelux, Italy, Scandinavia, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, and Portugal. Expansion of European Sales Team RealTimeImage's new European sales managers bring strong abilities and experience that will greatly bolster the expansion effort. Ari Briggs, appointed Vice President, Business Development and International Sales, directs RealTimeImage's activities in Continental Europe. Ari has been with the Company for several years and possesses in-depth product knowledge of RealTimeImage solutions. He has extensive, worldwide sales and channel management experience. In his new position, Ari steers RealTimeImage's Graphic Arts expansion in continental Europe, including the appointment of new distribution and OEM partners in the region. As Germany is a key market for RealTimeImage, Friedhelm Pöppelbaum has been appointed dedicated Sales Manager for the German territory. His extensive background in graphic arts, along with previous positions held at Monotype Germany and Berthold as branch manager, will be extremely valuable in implementing RealTimeImage solutions in Germany. In France, RealTimeImage appointed Eric Petit as Sales Manager to support sales efforts in France, Spain and Portugal. Prior to joining RealTimeImage, Eric worked for MGI and Live Picture as a Digital Imaging Specialist. In Belgium, Amos Liebermann has been appointed Regional Sales Manager for the Belgian market. Before joining RealTimeImage, Amos held several key sales and marketing positions at Idanit and Scitex Vision. Says Messinger regarding the European expansion: "After our successful entry in the UK market, where we achieved outstanding results thanks to the efforts of Regional Sales Director Alex Granat, the marketplace is signaling that RealTimeImage should expand into the rest of Europe. We are very pleased to have experts like Ari, Amos, Friedhelm and Eric to lead our sales and marketing efforts in the new territories. Backed by strong distribution channels and the launch of additional language versions of our products, we are convinced that this team will succeed in positioning RealTimeProof as the leading online proofing solution all over Europe, as already established in the UK and the US." New Language Versions To support its European expansion, RealTimeImage is now introducing localized versions of its client/server product. French, German, Italian and Spanish versions of RealTimeProof Classic are already available. Additionally, localized versions , in the same languages as above of the ASP service, will be introduced shortly by RealTimeImage. Overall Significant Growth in Online Proofing Segment "Our European expansion is tightly associated with the overall growth in adoption of online proofing solutions, and specifically the adoption of the RealTimeProof solutions worldwide," says Messinger. "The online proofing segment has moved beyond the early adopter phase much faster than we thought it would." Messinger attributes the increased adoption rates to a number of factors, including pivotal decisions by companies like Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) to integrate RealTimeImage's technology into their virtual proofing and approval management products. "Many companies, both large and small, in the commercial print, packaging, prepress, agency and corporate markets are now realizing substantial cost reductions due to RealTimeProof," Messinger explains. "They are telling us that online proofing has become a requirement in today's economy."
