18 Proofing Vendors To Participate In First-Ever IPA Color Proofing Roundup

Press release from the issuing company

April 21, 2003 - Advance registration for the the 2003 IPA Technical Seminar, to be held May 13-15 at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza in Chicago, is up 15% year-to-date over 2002. The 2003 Technical Seminar includes North America's first-ever Color Proofing Roundup and will provide attendees the rare opportunity to watch 18 proofing vendors work side by side as they output a suite of test files using dozens of proofing solutions. The results will clearly demonstrate each individual system's ability to correctly process all of the commands provided in the files. Attendees are invited to download and process the files through their color proofing system and bring the test results to the seminar. Attendees will compare their proofs to those of the participating vendors and judge for themselves how to improve their proofing results. Proofing is not the only topic on the seminar agenda. There will be information on trends in the marketplace and advances in technologies that are driving our graphic communications businesses. Industry leaders will share their experiences with RGB workflows, color management, asset management, content management, digital photography, PDF/X and OS X. Attendees may download the test files to be used in the Roundup as well register online for the IPA Technical Seminar at www.ipa.org, or call IPA at (800)255-8141.
