NORTHLAKE, IL – April 21, 2003 – Sun Chemical debuted two innovative gravure laminating inks at the CMM Conference and Exhibition 2003, to be held April 14-17, in Chicago, IL. RotoPureTM and RotoPureTM Ultra are high-performance, solvent-based laminating systems designed to print on a wide range of film substrates and structures. Both products utilize Sun Chemical’s proprietary polymer technologies, which eliminate the need for toluene diisocyanate (TDI) and tin-containing compounds. These components have been dropped to improve product safety in food packaging without reducing pressroom performance. Developed for printing on surfaces requiring excellent adhesion and high lamination bond values, the RotoPure gravure laminating ink system features excellent print quality and low retained solvents. RotoPure inks are nitrocellulose-compatible and formulated to minimize cylinder hazing. The RotoPure Ultra line offers these same attributes, plus improved printability and superior bond strength, for use on a wider range of substrates. Both RotoPure and RotoPure Ultra offer high color strength and are designed for high-speed applications.
