GHENT – April 14, 2003 - Peter Camps, founder of Enfocus Software, has received the first ‘Pioneer of PDF’ award issued by pdfnews.de, one of the leading on-line publications in Germany reporting on the latest developments in the PDF domain. This award is a token of recognition to people who have been active in the graphic arts industry for at least 10 years, and who have had a significant influence on the outlook of the PDF market and use of the PDF format. The jury, existing of Bernd Zipper, Stephan Jaeggi and premium readers of pdfnews.de, voted unanimously in favor of Peter Camps. The award is only given to innovators who have fostered the widespread adoption of the PDF format, as well as making significant advancements in PDF technology. Peter Camps was chosen as the recipient of the ‘Pioneer of PDF’ award because of his contribution in making the PDF format a standard in publishing. Enfocus products and technologies such as PitStop and Certified PDF have made the PDF file format highly accessible, editable and very reliable to use for file exchange.
