Total Print Finishing Services lands Two New Distribution Deals

Press release from the issuing company

July 3, 2007 -- Leading UK independent supplier of print finishing equipment, Total Print Finishing Services (Total PFS), today announced that it has been appointed by Canadian manufacturer Graphic Whizard as a UK distributor of the next generation of its automatic numbering machines. In addition, Total PFS has further added to its growing range of products for the low- to mid-volume user following the signing of a distribution deal with Rapid, making Total PFS the distributor of Rapid’s full range of manual and power-operated stapling and punching products in south-west England.
Clive Richardson, managing director, Total PFS comments: “At Total, we are experiencing a period of significant growth and, having just expanded our senior management team, we are delighted to now add Graphic Whizard’s new range of automatic numbering machines to our extensive portfolio of products. The appointment follows the success achieved by Total PFS in marketing Graphic Whizard’s Creasemaster series of digital impact scoring systems and means Total PFS is now in the unique position to be able to offer the full range of Graphic Whizard products to the UK market. The machines will be officially launched to the market this summer and Total PFS will be making some exciting promotional offers to coincide with this.”
Included in the Graphic Whizard range of numbering machines is the fully automatic, friction-fed GW 6000. A bench-top numbering machine with a maximum capacity of 6000 sheets per hour, the GW 6000 can number, perforate, score and slit in a single pass. It can support two numbering heads, each of which can be programmed to number up to ten times per sheet and, as well as an optional suction feed system, an inkjet numbering system can also be added. The Graphic Whizard range extends to suit the needs of the smaller print operation with the GW Junior, a foot-switch operated tabletop numbering machine with a footprint of less than a square foot and a rugged construction of solid-state electronics that promises years of reliable performance.
Total PFS’s range of Rapid products will include the Rapid 105/106 and the Rapid 5080 staplers. Both the 105 and 106 are power-operated and staple up to 40 sheets of 80gsm bond. The 105 offers flat stapling, while the bench-mounted 106 also extends to saddle stapling. The machines have a throat depth of 100mm and are either foot or trigger sensor operated, leaving hands free to handle the work. A fully automatic benchtop stapling system, the 5080 staples and flat clinches up to 80 sheets of 80gsm bond and is ideally suited for the high street print shop, office or education sectors.
Mr Richardson concluded: “The deal with Rapid is an important one for Total PFS. It means we now have one of the most extensive ranges of stapling products in the UK, and the Rapid range will sit well alongside our own exclusive range of Stago heavy duty, industrial staplers. The Rapid range is available now and we currently have some excellent introductory offers on all Rapid machinery and supplies.”
