Ricoh Announces Increased DocumentMall Integration with Imaging Systems

WEST CALDWELL, N.J.--April 3, 2003-- Ricoh Corporation, the Dependable Digital output company, today announced the integration of their web-based solution DocumentMall (www.documentmall.com) with the high speed printing, copying and scanning features of the Aficio 1060, Aficio1075 as well as the color Aficio 1224C, Aficio 1232C and the AP 3800CMF. With scanning speeds of 75 images per minute, the unique integration with the Aficio 1060 and 1075 allow users to scan large volumes of documents directly into online filing cabinets they have created in DocumentMall. With scanning speeds of up to 30 images per minute, Aficio 1224C and 1232C users can do the same with their color documents. DocumentMall users can send documents directly from the LCD panel of the machine at the touch of a button. The email feature on the DocumentMall enabled machines allows users to send black and white or color documents to anyone in the world. DocumentMall addresses a wide breadth of document management needs while offering a low-cost, low-risk storing and sharing solution for small to mid-size companies. DocumentMall offers all the benefits of a fully powered storage and sharing service, providing features such as automatic titling and file conversion for scanned documents. DocViewer, a feature, which allows users to view documents without the application resident on their PCs, is ideal for interoffice and inter-industry collaboration. Recent feature improvements include customizable search and index fields. In addition, this rentable solution requires minimal capital expenditure and no IT labor involvement or server requirement. DocumentMall also provides secure file access and management from any Internet device including Internet Faxes and Digital Cameras. DocumentMall is also available as an integrated option on the Aficio 1022, Aficio 1027, Aficio 1035 and the Aficio 1045 -all with Ricoh's next generation architecture. On each of these multifunctional (MFP) devices - customers can access DocumentMall through a secure HTTPS transmission Internet via the web browser located on the LCD panel - making Ricoh MFPs the only Internet-accessible MFP products in the market today.
