Belcom Holds Open House at Technical Center

Bellwood, IL, April 1, 2003 — Belcom North America Group LLC is holding an Open House in its new, state-of-the-art Technical Center, a central location for hands-on demonstrations, training, technical support services and testing. Belcom, headquartered in Bellwood, Ill., is the exclusive distributor of digital printing products sold into the corrugated packaging and point-of-purchase display markets in North America. Belcom sells and services primarily the CORjet, formerly known as the BEL2000, a Flatbed Digital Ink Jet Printer that uses non-toxic, water-based inks on a variety of substrates. The CORjet is the only printer of its kind in the world: economical, robust and efficient for short-run production cycles. The manufacturer of the equipment is Israeli-based, Scitex Vision., an affiliate of the Scitex Group. Powered by Aprion technology, the CORjet can deliver crisp color that is light-fast, water and abrasion resistant on media up to 63” x 112.” Both Belcom and Scitex Vision have a long and deep history in the development of emerging printing technology. The Technical Center is utilized for training, demonstrations, sample-making, classes, seminars, meetings and much more for the Digital Packaging and Display Industry. Belcom will also display other digital products from Esko-Graphics featuring the Kongsberg Digital Die Cutter and VIP Color’s VP2020 Ink Jet Color Labeling Machines.
