Exstream Software Expands Direct Sales into Central and Eastern Europe

Press release from the issuing company

LEXINGTON, Ky. --March 31, 2003--Exstream Software, Inc. today announced the opening of an office in Prague in the Czech Republic for the purpose of directly selling and supporting Exstream's Dialoguesoftware, the world standard for high performance enterprise personalization, to the Central and Eastern European business communities. Close to 40 percent of Exstream's current Dialogue customers are in Western Europe and Australia--all sold through Exstream distributors located in these regions. The move to add a direct sales office in Prague highlights the expansion of opportunities Exstream sees worldwide for enterprise personalization software. Exstream's overall plan is to stage its expansion into Europe with the opening of several offices throughout this year, with Prague representing the first step. The newly-formed international office, Exstream Software C&EE, is slated to open April 1, 2003 and will provide enterprise-wide variable print and electronic solutions to businesses in Central and Eastern Europe, including those in Germany, Austria and Italy. The Prague office will be co-founded by Jiri Krejci, who has been appointed director of sales and marketing, and Pavel Plachky, currently of Exstream's Lexington, KY corporate headquarters, who will hold the position of technical director. Exstream C&EE will also work closely with IBM under an existing agreement that involves collaboration in marketing, sales and services in Europe. Initial focus for Exstream C&EE will be on the banking, insurance, printing, service bureau and utility industries. "It is very exciting to be a part of Exstream's continued growth," said Jiri Krejci. "Opening an office in Prague is just part of a worldwide plan to bring enterprise personalization solutions to companies everywhere. Bringing these solutions to the companies in Europe who are ripe for what Dialogue has to offer will be very rewarding." Acquiring over 200 sites worldwide in just over three years, Exstream continues to take the business world by storm with its award-winning Dialogue technology. International heavy-hitters, including Cardiff Financial Services, Bouygues Telecom, Cegetel, Logitaine Bank in France, Zurcher Kantonalbank (ZKB) in Switzerland, Viterra Telecommunications in Germany, and Commonwealth Bank of Australia, among others, are benefiting from Exstream's Dialogue software with improved time to market, increased customer satisfaction and up to 80 percent in cost reductions. Dialogue is the only software solution on the market that combines personalized document creation, campaign management and tracking, and multi-channel delivery in one easy-to-use software suite. "This is the first step in our plans to make a major commitment to this market. Expanding direct sales and services to Central and Eastern Europe brings a wealth of opportunities, and we eagerly anticipate offering solutions that provide innovative ways to improve personalized communications," said Davis Marksbury, president and CEO of Exstream Software. "We are making this move to ensure even greater success in Europe by providing more support to our partners and having more exposure with our customers."
