Ricoh Americas Corporation Teams Up With Objectif Lune to Improve Customers' Production Workflow

Press release from the issuing company

WEST CALDWELL, N.J., July 2 -- Ricoh Americas Corporation today announced Objectif Lune, a leader in the development and commercialization of variable data documents production software, has joined Ricoh's Technology Alliance Program. Objectif Lune's software is highly compatible with Ricoh's workgroup and production printing products, and will be able to successfully meet customers' transactional, promotional and transpromotional variable data printing needs.
Objectif Lune covers the whole spectrum of printing and output management of variable data documents through PrintShop Mail and the PlanetPress Suite. PrintShop Mail is a powerful, easy-to-use software application that allows users to personalize promotional communications by varying text, graphics, barcodes or entire layouts based on customer-specific information found in their databases. Combined with Ricoh printers, users can print high-speed mail merges, direct mailings, postcards, or any other type of promotional document, quickly and efficiently, from the most basic to highly complex jobs.
Ricoh will also be working with Objectif Lune's PlanetPress Suite software, which enables easy creation and printing of transactional and promotional variable content documents with no changes to the customers' host system. Documents created with the PlanetPress Suite, such as reports, statements, shipping labels, invoices, etc., can be printed on Ricoh printers, archived, emailed and faxed. PlanetPress Suite is sold in a modular approach, allowing for businesses to select which element(s) of the software best fit their document workflow needs. Users are also provided with the ability to add targeted marketing messages to transactional documents, which is a leading trend in the industry.
"We are pleased to be working with Ricoh as our software is able to truly harness the power of Ricoh's high-volume printers and greatly improve the workflow process for our customers," said Howard Silverstein, president, Objectif Lune. "Combining our respective competitive advantages creates a scalable and versatile solution that allows for the development and management of critical business documents."
There are two divisions within the Alliance Program, the Strategic Alliance Program and the Technology Alliance Program. Objectif Lune has joined the Technology Alliance Program, which is comprised of third party software and hardware companies who specialize in niche solution offerings that complement Ricoh hardware and software technologies.
"Managing the process of high-volume and production printing can be demanding and Ricoh looks to partner with companies that can help streamline this process for our customers," said Hede Nonaka, senior vice president, Document Services and Solutions Division, Ricoh Americas Corporation. "We welcome Objectif Lune into our Alliance Program and are excited about the powerful combination of Objectif Lune's advanced software solutions and Ricoh's progressive printer technology."
