Scitex Digital Printing and Atlantic Zeiser Announce Worldwide OEM Agreement

DAYTON, OH, Mar. 26, 2003 -- Scitex Digital Printing (Dayton, Ohio) and Atlantic Zeiser (Emmingen, Germany) announced that they have entered into a worldwide OEM agreement. The agreement is expected to give both companies expanded penetration with new applications into the security printing and card personalization applications of the commercial printing marketplace. Under the terms of the agreement, Atlantic Zeiser will integrate narrow-width printers from Scitex Digital Printing into both turnkey and custom solutions. The printers include the complete line of Dijit products from Scitex Digital Printing, including the popular water-based 5000 and 6000 printer series, as well as the recently released non-aqueous-based Dijit printers, the Liberty 7122 and Passport 4300. Commenting on the agreement, Nachum "Homi" Shamir, president and CEO of Scitex Digital Printing, emphasized the strategic importance in providing best-of-class printing solutions for the printing market. "Through the combination of the experience and strengths of Atlantic Zeiser in security printing, card personalization systems and brand protection with the flexibility, quality and reliability provided by our innovative digital printing technology, customers in these growing markets can take advantage of the most comprehensive solution available. This exciting new relationship will further reinforce our presence and dedication to new applications," he concluded. "Partnering Scitex Digital Printing's high resolution printing technology with Atlantic Zeiser's turnkey systems will be particularly beneficial to customers printing in-line with single or multiple printheads on varying substrates ranging from uncoated papers to plastic cards and everything in between," said Walter Klingler, group president and CEO, Atlantic Zeiser GmbH. "This partnership provides complete and versatile solutions with higher resolution and expanded narrow-width printers from Scitex Digital Printing. Atlantic Zeiser will now offer additional solutions and applications to allow our customers to have greater security features, improved brand fidelity and increased card personalization." Customer availability is slated for the end of the first quarter 2003.
