Banta To Relocate Fulfillment Services Operation To Shakopee

MENASHA, WI - March 25, 2003 - Banta Corporation, a leading printing and supply-chain management company, today announced it will be moving its Eden Prairie, MN, fulfillment services operation to a larger facility located at 5500 E. 12th Ave. in Shakopee, MN. "By moving to the Shakopee location, we will be able to accommodate the rapid growth in business we’re seeing as healthcare, telecommunications and other industrial markets outsource their literature management and order fulfillment services," said Dan Thornton, senior vice president, packaging and fulfillment. Remodeling and equipment additions at the Shakopee facility will begin in April, with completion by the end of September. All 56 full-time employees will transfer to the new location, which is 9 miles southwest of the current Eden Prairie operation. Banta’s other fulfillment services facilities are in Menasha, Appleton, Kaukauna and Green Bay, WI; Lancaster, PA; Harrisonburg, VA; Seattle, WA and Spanish Fork, UT. In addition, a 10th fulfillment service operation is currently under construction in Menasha. Fulfillment services provided by Banta include print management, digital print capabilities, the efficient managing of inventories, assembling materials to meet customer orders, and distributing product worldwide.
