CIP4 Compatible Itoh Paper Cutter Now Available from LDR Intl.

PORTLAND, OR - March 18, 2003 -- LDR International today announced availability of Itoh's new, CIP4-compatible eRC paper cutter with touch screen LCD color display. Various models are available, with maximum cutting widths of 39-1/2", 45", 54", 63", 67", and 80". The Itoh eRC paper cutter features a built-in microcomputer that can store 25,000 pages (500 courses of 50 pages each) in memory. The microcomputer, which is easily extendable, and programmable, can memorize different jobs in a single course. The RoboTrim feature, popular with earlier Itoh models, comes optional. "CIP4 compatibility completes the picture for the Itoh line of excellent paper cutters," said Ralph Johnson, President of LDR International. "The eRC is the most productive paper cutter on the market and allows for a fully automated workflow." Other features of the eRC-115DX paper cutter include a touch panel, 8.4" TFT color display; a knife that can easily and safely be changed by a single operator; a double-ended knife pull system that ensures an even cut from end to end and excellent all-round knife-cutting performance. The successor to CIP3, CIP4 stands for Cooperation for the Integration of Processes, Prepress, Press, and PostPress. It is an international consortium, based in Switzerland, designed to promote computer-based integration of all processes that have to be considered in the graphic arts industry.
