Create!form International Wins APEX Editor Choice Award

Press release from the issuing company

WALTHAM, Mass. --March 17, 2003-- Create!form International, Inc., a leading global provider of software products that streamline and e-enable output formatting and delivery of business documents, today announced that the company's output management product, Create!form, has won the APEX Award for Editor's Choice in Document Management. Create!form enables organizations to fully customize application output and produce professional quality documents on plain paper without changes to existing business systems. Users can create customized documents such as invoices, purchase orders, statement and reports, incorporating variable data, graphics, bar codes, MICR check printing support, and more, from their existing applications. Penton Technology Media, a division of Penton Media, Inc., (NYSE: PME) announced the winners of the second annual iSeries NEWS APEX Awards at Spring COMMON 2003 in Indianapolis, IN. Winners of the Editors' Choice awards were determined by an independent panel of judges featuring product editors, editors, and industry professionals. Wayne Madden, publisher of iSeries NEWS, said, "The APEX Awards recognize industry leaders who have made valuable contributions to their customers and the market." Create!form President and CEO, Kurt Mueffelmann, said, "We are thrilled to be recognized by iSeries NEWS with this year's Editor's Choice Award for Document Management. Create!form has a long history of providing e-forms and output management products for the iSeries/OS/400 environment, and has developed a substantial, global base of iSeries customers over the years. Create!form works with output from any business application, and eliminates the need for costly, pre-printed forms, to deliver a rapid return on investment for iSeries users." Create!form output management products are designed to be implemented and maintained using in-house resources, often within the line-of-business department itself (non-IT). Once the system is up and running, no expensive consulting is necessary to make changes or add forms, in comparison to competitors that may charge up to an additional 30 to 50 percent for services. A recent study by CAP Ventures concluded that only 2.6 percent of a line-of-business employee's time is spent maintaining the Create!form system on an annual basis. Create!form software is designed for use with IBM OS/400, Microsoft® Windows and UNIX operating systems.
