Business Travelers to Benefit from EFI Wireless Print Solution

Press release from the issuing company

FOSTER CITY, Calif.- March 10, 2003--Electronics For Imaging, the world leader in imaging solutions for network printing, today announced that its wireless print solution PrintMe Networks will be installed in over 100 European "hotspot" locations by leading wireless Internet services provider Monzoon Networks AG. PrintMe Networks, which enables business travellers to print wirelessly from their laptops, mobile phones or PDAs without the hassle of connecting to a printer with software, drivers or cables, is being introduced into Monzoon's hotspot partner locations in airport lounges, convention centers, railways, hotels and Mobile Zone shops across Switzerland, Austria and Germany. Monzoon's WLAN Hotspot Technology offers secure, wireless high-speed broadband Internet access for business travellers. PrintMe will be installed alongside this technology to allow mobile business executives to print emails and attachments wirelessly from their mobile devices, eliminating the need to physically connect to a printer or install special drivers. Documents can be uploaded to the PrintMe Guest Printing home page using a Web browser, or sent by e-mail directly to a PrintMe enabled printer. Monzoon Networks has already begun installing PrintMe Networks into its key WLAN hotspot locations, with all 100 sites due to go live by the end of 2003. "Today's business traveller requires secure, fast data access while on the move," said Matthias Koch, CEO of Monzoon Networks. "We are delighted to work with EFI to install PrintMe Networks in our WLAN hotspots. Not only can users access their data securely via wireless broadband Internet access, they can also print that data wirelessly. The installation of PrintMe within our hotspots means we can now offer a comprehensive mobile office facility for the business traveller on the move." "We are thrilled that Monzoon Networks has chosen to install PrintMe in its WLAN hotspots around Europe," said Georg Hollenbach, director of EFI's Germany office. "PrintMe was designed to solve the problem of printing while away from the office, so it is the perfect accompaniment to the Monzoon WLAN Hotspot Technology."
