Jerome Group Leverages the Flexibility of Printcafe PSI

Press release from the issuing company

PITTSBURGH, PA (March 5, 2003) - Printcafe Software, Inc. today announced that Jerome Group of Maryland Heights, Mo., has successfully implemented the Printcafe PSI print management system. Jerome Group began in 1946 as a business forms company with a unique focus on System-mated Solutions. Today it is a full-service provider of direct mail and direct marketing materials, offering services ranging from lithography and laser printing to inserting, mailing and fulfillment. Jerome Group uses the Printcafe PSI system not just to manage its traditional commercial printing business, but company-wide for all direct mail and direct marketing services. In addition, the company recently purchased the PrintFlow dynamic scheduling and PrinterSite Internal modules. "We’re using it for all of our mail capabilities and it is working out well for us," said Marti Stieren, Manager of Production Control for Jerome Group. Gary Vest, Jerome’s Vice President of Operations, praises the system’s flexibility. "It’s adaptable enough that we made it fit the unique needs we have with our multitude of products," Vest said. "The range of operations that can be entailed in a single job are monumental, and PSI is incredibly broad in the flexibility it’s given us, from estimating to billing, costing and invoicing to finished production. It’s been great." Stieren says Printcafe’s PSI system is making a lot of employees’ jobs a little easier. "It’s so simple to use; there’s a lot of ‘point and click.’ It’s an easy system to pick up, and it’s easy to navigate," he said. "The estimating function has worked really well for us. It’s got a great report-writing area, and it’s a great data collection system."
