alfaQuest Technologies offers 300 Plate Per Hour CTP

Rolling Meadows, IL March 4, 2003 — alfaQuest Technologies, Inc. (formerly Monotype Systems,Inc.) and Krause-Biagosch GmbH have announced an Agreement whereby alfaQuest is the exclusive reseller to newspapers in the U.S. and Canada. The agreement relates to the distribution of the Krause LS Jet 200 and LS Jet 300 CTP systems, which will be marketed under the name alfaJet 200 and alfaJet 300. The alfaJet may be equipped with either the well proven FD-NdYAG laser or the rising violet laser diode to image the plate of your choice. A resolution range from 1 to 2.540 dpi is available in order to match your individual production requirements. The alfaJet offers the possibility to load up to 600 single or 300 panorama plates with a maximum exposure size of up to 25.2" x 37" (640 mm x 940 mm). Krause has established itself as a world leader in hi-speed Computer-To-Plate technology with many newspaper installations throughout the European market. The LS Jet is the latest generation of CTP designed to meet the rigorous demands of newspaper printing, bringing unsurpassed performance and outstanding reliability to this arena. alfaQuest Technologies provides innovative and cost-effective products, including multiple CTP technologies, film imagers and newspaper workflow solutions, to the Publishing marketplace. Today, they are a major newspaper prepress vendor and remain one of the very few strong and “debt free” suppliers in the prepress industry. The availability of the alfaJet 200 and alfaJet 300 CTP systems, rounds out the most comprehensive CTP product line available from a single source. The first public promotion of the alfaJet systems by alfaQuest Technologies, will be at the America East Show held in Hershey, PA March 25-27.
