Markzware announces release of MarkzNet v1.6, Supports Macintosh OS X

Press release from the issuing company

SANTA ANA, California – February 28, 2003 – Today, Markzware announces the release of MarkzNet v1.6 which has been Carbonized to support Macintosh OS X. In addition, MarkzNet v1.6 supports Macintosh OS 8.6 - 9.x, Microsoft Windows 98, ME, NT 4.0, 2000 and XP. MarkzNet puts the power of Markzware's patented technology on the print creator's desktop via the Internet; allowing every publisher and printer to become an Internet preflight service center. This new, robust version of MarkzNet also adds support for QuarkXPress 5.0, Adobe InDesign 2.0 and Microsoft Publisher to a growing list of over 40 native page layout applications, PDF and PostScript file types. MarkzNet enables service providers in the printing, graphic arts and prepress industry to establish their own branded preflight service and to control the rules for digital file submissions. MarkzNet checks files remotely on the creators' desktops to ensure compliance to the provider's rules. It locates all fonts and images, then transfers a compressed job file to the provider via FTP. In this way, MarkzNet helps to make sure that error-free, print ready, fully collected native or PDF jobs are delivered to production. The creators also benefit with real time feedback on any file content or formatting issues that could result in printing errors or costly corrections in prepress. MarkzNet is an easy to use collaboration tool that enhances communication between the print provider and their customers, increasing workflow efficiency for all parties involved.
