Regan promoted to president of Semper International

Press release from the issuing company

Boston, MA - July 17, 2007 - Semper International, the leading placement firm for skilled help in the graphic arts and printing industry, and a growing provider of trained, technical staffing in other high-tech areas including video game and Metaverse initiatives, announces Brian Regan has been promoted to President of the company, responsible for a wide, new range of company initiatives. Meanwhile, David Regan retains his role as CEO of the company.

Brian Regan helped finance his degree from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles by running a printing press and, as a struggling musician, supplemented his income by continuing to run a press, ultimately becoming pressroom supervisor. In 1996, Regan joined Printstaff (now Semper International), opening an office in San Francisco and overseeing West Coast operations. In 1998, he moved to Chicago for eight months and successfully opened their office there. In 2000, he moved to Boston, where he became corporate Chief Operating Officer responsible for day-to-day operations, business development, managing the recruitment process, overseeing hiring and training internal staff, developing skills testing, and conducting statistical analyses to measure success. He also has been instrumental in the development and management of the company's successful web-based sister company, Printworkers.com, the industry's leading job board. As a forward-thinking visionary, Brian has been a speaker and contributor of articles on the subject of technology and the challenges facing staffing. Parlaying his interest and intuitive learning skills developed from video games, Brian is a member of the Video Game Association, and is actively consulting firms in the business merits of building a presence in Web 2.0 strategies such as social networks and the Metaverse.

In his new role, Mr. Regan will preside over emerging divisions overseeing opportunities from the Metaverse, consulting services with staffing and printing firms, and video game staffing. He will also continue his dedicated work with the graphic arts industry, uncovering ways to introduce younger people to explore opportunities in print.

“Semper is at a crossroads due to significant changes not only to the work force, but due to noteworthy technological evolutions to the print, Internet and gaming industries. We are excited to have worked at the vanguard of this new, 'revolutionary' recruiting world, watching how the development of virtual technology could affect hiring trends. Our emerging business unit focusing on video game, creative and virtual reality staffing will greatly benefit from our efforts as an early adopter, as will our traditional niche. Beyond developing a training curriculum from within our Second Life location-the first such office in this virtual world-we are connecting with potential job seekers, registering them with our company, interviewing and linking them directly to jobs. We are working on a number of unique, exciting programs, and I look forward to bringing them to fruition.”
