SSPP Announces CPSS Testing Dates and Deadlines

The Society for Service Professionals in Printing (SSPP) announces the dates for the Certified Printing Service Specialist (CPSS) exams for 2003. The exam dates are May 17, 2003 (with a registration deadline of April 4, 2003) and November 15, 2003 (deadline September 29, 2003). The CPSS exam is comprehensive and covers a broad range of graphic communications skills including, written and oral communications, customer relation skills, scheduling, legal and financial issues, prepress, printing materials, product knowledge, printing production processes, binding and finishing processes and technological advances. This exam is geared towards those individuals who have been in the printing industry for a minimum of two years and whose main function is in customer service and support. The goals of the CPSS program are: To award the Certified Printing Service Specialist designation to those who have attained a prescribed level of expertise in their field through successful completion of the Certified Printing Service Specialist exam. • To enhance the print buyer's appreciation for service expertise and to advance the stature and image of the service professional in the printing industry. • To emphasize and encourage the attainment of the knowledge and expertise required of a service professional in the printing industry.
