TransWestern Publishing Purchases Telfax Inc. Directories

SAN DIEGO--Feb. 6, 2003--TransWestern Publishing has purchased three directories from Telfax Inc. in Oregon and Washington. These directories are Walla Walla Valley Regional, Umatilla-Morrow Counties and Northeast Oregon Regional. TransWestern Publishing's President and Chief Executive Officer Rick Puente commented, "TransWestern Publishing began serving the Washington and Oregon areas in 2001. Since then, we have expanded into many additional communities in the region." The directories will continue to feature complete white and yellow pages listings as well as community information in one easy-to-use phone book. Puente explained, "We are excited to be able to serve additional communities within these states with our high quality directories and excellent customer service." TransWestern Publishing is a California-based independent yellow pages publisher which publishes 334 community-oriented directories in 25 states. Some of the company's directories have been published for more than 70 years. In 2001, TransWestern had $242 million in revenues and an EBITDA of $60 million.
