KPG Announces Matchprint Color RIP Software Upgrade

Norwalk, Connecticut, USA - Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) announces the availability of Kodak Polychrome Graphics Matchprint Color RIP v2.6 software for large-format inkjet printers. This new software offers several functional improvements over previous versions, including DCS2 and PDF/X3 file capability, remote proofing features that ensure color consistency between sites, and extended printer support for the Epson Stylus Pro 7600, 9600, 10600 and HP DesignJet 5500. Matchprint Color RIP v2.6 drives the Matchprint Inkjet System, a high-quality, inkjet proofing solution that delivers accurate simulation of Matchprint Analog proofs. Since its inception, over 3000 copies of the Matchprint Color RIP software have shipped worldwide. “We continue to develop and introduce Matchprint Color RIP upgrades to answer the growing needs of our customers,” said Rob Pipe, Worldwide Product Manager, Inkjet Proofing, KPG. “With remote proofing capability, expanded file support and increased productivity tools, Matchprint Color RIP V2.6 gives our inkjet customers all the tools they need to succeed in a demanding marketplace.” In addition to remote proofing, DCS2 and PDF/X3 support and additional printer compatibility, Matchprint Color RIP v2.6 includes the approved and licensed Pantone® Color Library for the Matchprint Inkjet Proofer Models 5542 and 5560, switchable hot folders for ease of use, and horizontal and vertical job scaling, which allows print job resizing for print-for-pay applications.
