PrinterPresence and The Giles Group Provide Additional Resources

Digital IMS and John Giles have teamed up to offer the Digital Original on CD at a promotional price to the users of PrinterPresence Web site solution. Now available for download to the users of PrinterPresence, the third edition of The Digital Original outlines the techniques needed to make handling electronic files easy. "We've been working on ways to help our clients with technology in their business. The Digital Original gives our clients the competitive edge with yet another tool to help them and their customers become more digitally competent," said Tawnya Starr, PrinterPresence CEO. The Digital Original includes ways to make money and find the most profitable customers in a digital environment, what equipment is needed to handle digital files and step-by-step instructions to turn popular software programs into postscript file generators. John Giles III, who authored The Digital Original, is owner of The Giles Group. Giles does consulting and training internationally on quick printing prepress issues. Recently Giles has focused his attention on conducting digital audits to help printing companies establish standards and procedures for accepting digital files easily and profitably. As Technology Director of PrintImage International, he directs the Digital Imaging Applications Network, a special interest group of PII, and edits the DIAN Newsletter. PrintImage International is the international association of quick printers, copy shops and small commercial printers. Giles, a Quick Printing magazine contributor, recently received the Industry Award of Distinction by the National Association of Quick Printers/PrintImage International. This elite group of educators, suppliers, trade press members and authors, have consistently supported and contributed to the quick printing industry.
