Screen USA: SA-L 4100 and SA-L 8100 Single-Cassette Autoloaders

Monday, February 03, 2003

Press release from the issuing company

February 3, 2003 -- For many printers, automation is of central importance and viewed as the key to making the most profitable use of CTP. Small or medium-size printers looking to adopt thermal CTP systems with reliable automatic loading and unloading capabilities now have more affordable options than ever. The PlateRite 4100 and 8100 platesetters, the two newest thermal CTP recorders in Screen USA PlateRite series, are now available with auto plate loaders. These affordable, entry-level platesetters address the needs of printers seeking cost-effective CTP solutions. Combining affordability and productivity, the SA-L 4100 and SA-L 8100 single-cassette autoloaders are the perfect complement to the PlateRite devices. They provide a fast track to fully automated CTP with the speed, quality and reliability demanded by the customer. The PlateRite 4100 offers optimal plate production for 2-page and 4-page presses, as well as 4-page/6-page presses. The PlateRite 8100 is the ideal 8-page solution for printers who want to minimize the investment required to move to high-quality CTP. The SA-L 4100 and SA-L 8100 further increase this productivity by providing rapid and precise plate handling. They can hold up to 30 plates each. Both autoloaders are supported by an automatic processor bridge, which extends automation all the way to the plate processor. This lineup enables full automation, from starting with unexposed thermal plates through the production of fully processed plates. Originally introduced at Graph Expo last September, the PlateRite 4100 and PlateRite 8100 immediately attracted the attention of many smaller printing firms because they could envision the devices as part of their prepress operations. Medium-sized printers also saw the advantages of incorporating these reasonably priced platesetters into their business plans.
