42 print projects highlight latest edition of PODi Best Practices in Digital Print

Press release from the issuing company

ROCHESTER, NY, January 31, 2003 - The third edition of the acclaimed Best Practices in Digital Print study has been released by PODi, the Digital Printing initiative. The report includes 42 new case studies, market analysis, and Best Practice principles for how to use digital print successfully. In addition, this year's report contains important new information on how to understand market segments, written by PODi's top analysts, and six trends that PODi believes will define the future of digital print as a business. This year's report expands on the knowledge base of the first two editions by analyzing another 42 successful digital print projects. This brings the three-year total to over 130 projects - the largest collection of successful digital projects ever assembled. The case studies include project goals, strategies, business results and a sample image wherever possible. "PODi's Best Practices report is our bible," says Kate Dunn, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Choice Communications. "When my sales team is doing their pre-planning for a first-time call, they refer to the guide to familiarize themselves with successes in that industry or with a specific application." Choice uses PODi's analysis in planning and executing their projects, with great results. "I will use the 2003 PODi Best Practices as a tutorial for all of our sales people," says Dunn. "The analysis of the industry and the current trends in variable data print are right on point." The report is available free to PODi members. For more information on membership opportunities visit www.podi.org/membership. Non-members may purchase the report from the PODi Web site http://www.podi.org/store. Selected case studies from PODi's Best Practices research are highlighted in the free e-mail newsletter, PODi Reports. Free subscriptions to the newsletter are available at http://www.podi.org.
