(TPMG) to develop and implement customized software that will significantly accelerate the delivery of direct mail pieces to patients. TPMG physicians provide medical care to approximately 3 million Kaiser Permanente members in Northern California. Nationally, Kaiser Permanente serves 8.4 million members, making it America's largest not-for-profit health plan. There are approximately 40 Kaiser Permanente facilities in Northern California that communicate with patients. The new customized software will help the facilities to improve response time, standardize patient communications, and meet government regulatory standards. TPMG was unable to find an "off the shelf" product that could be easily integrated with their existing clinical systems and meet their particular needs. Since several Kaiser Permanente facilities were already using products from L2 Solutions, the TPMG team proposed creating a new Kaiser-specific version of the software.
