Mail Source expands into saddle stitching by adding a new Muller Martini Tempo

Press release from the issuing company

Fall Creek, Wisconsin — Distribution leader Mail Source has added high-quality finishing to its list of services with the recent installation of a high-speed Tempo saddle stitching system from Muller Martini. Tempo is a high-quality high-speed saddle stitching system designed to automate the production of magazines and catalogs from printed signatures. The system produces at the rate of 20,000 cycles per hour, and features a Multiprocessor Optical Network Integrated Control System (MONICS) that streamlines makeready and reduces start-up waste. Before its Tempo arrived, Mail Source had concentrated on high volume envelope chop-inserting and off-line imaging. Since the installation, the company added a trade bindery in Portage, Wisconsin to further expand the postpress offerings it provides to its customers.
