Creo Adds ISO 14001 Certification to Green Worldwide Operations

Press release from the issuing company

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--Jan. 27, 2003-- Creo is pleased to announce it has received ISO-14001:1996 certification for environmental management of its Canadian operations. This completes environmental management certification for both of the Creo design and manufacturing operations. Creo operations in Israel recently underwent recertification for ISO-14001; a standard first achieved in February 2001. ISO 14001 is an internationally recognized environmental management system standard through which a company can demonstrate its commitment to sound environmental performance, pollution prevention and continual improvement. The certification also covers the distribution of Creo products and provision of service to Creo customers from the regional offices around the world. Creo operations in Canada underwent the third-party audit by the Quality Management Institute, a division of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), as part of the company's commitment to ongoing improvement in environmental and quality management standards. Creo received ISO-9001:2000 (E) certification for quality management in its Canadian operations in 2001. This assures Creo customers of quality standards for the design and delivery of products and services, sustained customer satisfaction, and quality manufacturing processes. Operations in Israel were recently recertified for ISO 9002 standards for manufacturing quality. Clean Technology Creo implements best practices in environmental management through the design and development of prepress technology for the printing industry. Creo manufactures digital technologies, such as computer-to-plate imaging devices that eliminate the need for printers to use film and film processing chemicals. Business magazine Corporate Knights recently named Creo the most environmentally responsible company ('Green Machine') in Canada's technology sector. As one of Canada's largest high tech companies, Creo employs more than 4000 people around the world, of which 1300 work in the Greater Vancouver area. Creo is one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada and was listed by Deloitte & Touche on the Fast 50, based on percentage revenue growth over a five-year period. Creo was also listed on the Fast 500, the North American list.
