TrendWatch Tally: 30,556 Printing and Prepress Firms in U.S. Marketplace

According to the report, the U.S. market is made up of an estimated 30,556 printing and prepress firms, half of them small commercial and quick printers. Although small commercial and quick printers account for half of all printing establishments, they only account for 15% of all shipments in the industry. Also according to the report, there are an estimated 56,161 design and production establishments in the U.S., more than a third of them graphic design shops.
