U.K. Printers Choose Tensor

Press release from the issuing company

WOODRIDGE, IL (May 22, 2007) – Tensor Group, Inc., a U.S. manufacturer of web offset press equipment, has recently sold new presses in the United Kingdom through agent, Techprint Sales Ltd. Sharman & Company Ltd. of Peterborough purchased two (2) T-400BE series 4-high towers to increase color capacity on their existing Albert press. The towers are fitted with bearers on both plate and blanket cylinders and include a 100% helical gear drive design. The towers also have shaftless drives and controls, spray dampening, remote inking and automatic register and cut-off controls. “Thanks to Tensor’s state-of-the-art design facilities and customer-oriented attitude in matching existing equipment, Tensor was able to process this order in record time despite an unprecedented demand for Tensor presses world-wide” said David Oakley, Managing Director of Techprint Sales. The Barnsley Chronicle has added additional equipment to the firm’s existing Tensor equipment. Two (2) additional Tensor T-1400 series 4-high towers and one (1) H-50 heavy-duty jaw folder plus auxiliaries were included in the latest purchase which will give them a total of six webs that can be printed four-backing-four out of a possible eight. The new H-50 folder replaces their existing Goss SSC folder. “We have been delighted with the performance of the two (2) 4-high towers and we decided to go ahead with two more as soon as circumstances permitted” said David Molyneaux, Divisional Manager. He went on to add “with more production demand and an eye to the future, it seemed appropriate to purchase a Tensor folder that could be installed at the same time as the units.”
