Orlando, Florida, 1/17/03 – Anselmo L. Morvillo, Founder and President of Anselmo L. Morvillo S.A., has been named the Graphic Arts Leaders of the Americas (GALA) Latin American Award recipient for 2003 by the Confederation Latinoamericano de la Industria Grafica (CONLATINGRAF) in conjunction with the Printing Association of Florida, Inc. (PAF). “Mr. Morvillo has been selected for this award in recognition of his lifetime industry achievement and for his significant contribution to the advancement of the graphic arts,” stated Mike Streibig, CEO and President of PAF. Morvillo will receive his award before hundreds of industry leaders and guests at the 21st annual GALA Award Banquet and Reception, Friday, January 24, 2003, in Miami Beach, Florida, during Graphics of the Americas 2003. (Graphics of the Americas is the nation’s second largest annual printing and converting trade show and conference, with over 500 exhibitors filling more than a half million square feet and more than 25,000 domestic and international attendees.) GALA recipients are chosen for their leadership in areas of management, innovation, technology, business and quality, as well as their contributions to the graphic arts industry, their community and society in general. Morvillo has worked in the graphic arts industry since the early 1970’s. His entrepreneurial spirit has helped him build a full-service company offering, pre-press and full color commercial printing. An agreement in 1996 with Quad/Graphics, Inc. transformed his company into an Argentinean industry leader. He is currently President and General Manager of his company, Anselmo L. Morvill, S.A. PAF, producer of the 21st annual GALA awards and the 28th annual Graphics of the Americas, is an organization of graphic communications companies committed to improving the business environment and promoting the welfare of the regional/international printer and supplier members, as well as the entire graphic arts industry. The graphic arts industry is Florida’s largest manufacturing industry, with nearly 86,000 employees and more than $11.5 billion in projected annual revenues.
