MAN Roland Strengthens Position in Northern Europe

Press release from the issuing company

As part of the biggest sheetfed-offset purchase from Sweden to date, Hyltebruks Tryckeri AB has ordered two ROLAND 710 presses. In addition, a LITHOMAN web-offset press is to be installed at Color Print A/S in Denmark. And the traditional Open House at MAN Roland Finland proved a big success, drawing some 700 visitors. Swedish printer doubles capacities with two ROLAND 710 Delivery of the two ten-colour ROLAND 710 is scheduled for the first half of 2003. Hyltebruks Tryckeri AB in Hyltebruk expects this investment, totalling about 4.4 million Euro, to double its capacities. The Swedish company cites the close cooperation with MAN Roland Sweden and extremely positive experience with its existing presses of the ROLAND 708 type as the decisive reasons for continuing to rely on innovative technology from MAN Roland. With the two new ROLAND 710 presses, this printer will have one of the most effective workflows in sheetfed-offset. Danish web-offset printing company orders LITHOMAN For Color Print A/S, too, capacity increase was the main reason of investment. The company in Vadum, Denmark is one of Scandinavia's leaders in web-offset printing. Its new LITHOMAN, a 32-page machine with a printing capacity up to 55,000 copies per hour, perfectly equips the business for meeting the challenges of the future. Installation of the new pressline is planned for autumn of 2003. The company already has a LITHOMAN from MAN Roland in use. Color Print owes its success primarily to high-quality advertising printing. This year it took over the Danish Ph?nix trykkeriet, which specializes in printing high-quality products on sheet-fed presses. Ph?nix trykkeriet also works with printing systems from MAN Roland, three so far. More good news comes from Finland: the Open House at the MAN Roland office in Helsinki, an annual event, was a complete success again this time – drawing some 700 visitors in three days. Apart from a DICOpress, the main attractions in the MAN Roland showroom also included a ROLAND 500 with a printing speed up to 18,000 copies per hour. Auvo Kallio, Marketing Manager of MAN Roland Finland, is convinced: "Our Open House facilitates the dialogue because it strengthens and promotes our business relations not only with existing customers but with prospective customers as well.“ This event with its tradition of 20 years and the two sales achievements in Sweden and Denmark further advance MAN Roland's position in northern Europe.
