EFI Fiery X3e Embedded Controller Now Available for Sharp AR-651 and AR-810

FOSTER CITY, Calif.--Dec. 18, 2002--Electronics For Imaging, the world leader in software and hardware imaging solutions for network printing, announced the availability of the Fiery X3e controller for Sharp's new line of high volume black-and-white digital copiers/printers. The Fiery X3e embedded print controller brings outstanding speed, network connectivity and document control to Sharp's AR-651 and AR-810 IMAGER 65-ppm and 81-ppm engines for fast-paced corporate environments. The controller also integrates EFI's PrintMe mobile printing solution. The EFI designed controller and proprietary chipset offering enables Sharp to deliver Fiery X3e performance to its customers at a lower overall cost. EFI's Fiery X3e features the latest versions of EFI's renowned productivity-enhancing tools for centralized print job management. Mobile and Internet printing capabilities are also included via EFI's integrated PrintMe technology, enabling individuals to print documents from any mobile device to any PrintMe-enabled AR-651 or AR-810 engine without requiring software or driver installation.
