Wallace Re-Confirms Ariba Ready Designation

Press release from the issuing company

LISLE, Ill.--Dec. 12, 2002--Wallace Corporation, the leading provider of total print management services, today announced that it has successfully completed the requirements to become Ariba Ready from Ariba Inc., the leading provider of Enterprise Spend Management (ESM) solutions. Wallace is one of the first print management services companies to re-confirm its Ariba Ready designation. Wallace has proven its integration abilities to the Ariba Supplier Network (Ariba SN) and provides scaleable, repeatable processes for transacting with, and providing content to, buyers using the Ariba Buyer procurement solution. The Ariba Ready designation allows Wallace to seamlessly implement its proprietary print management system, @w.i.n.XS, for on-line transactions with buyers and sellers using Ariba solutions worldwide. Today, Wallace print solutions are being leveraged by over 50 Ariba customers. Now accessible through Ariba SN, Wallace's @w.i.n.XS is the latest, full e-commerce version of the Wallace Information Network, first launched in 1992. @w.i.n.XS leverages proven e-commerce capabilities along with Wallace's proprietary enterprise customer service, order management, inventory management and distribution systems. It incorporates order placement, order status, messaging, inventory, reporting, print-on-demand, digital asset management, file transfer, print specifications, user administration and security, and offers the ability to create custom documents and specify kits -- all from one site. @w.i.n.XS can also be integrated with a variety of Web portals and tools to facilitate business communication. Additionally, Wallace utilizes Ariba PunchOut, allowing customers to "punch out" from the Ariba Buyer solution, via the Ariba SN, to @w.i.n.XS to gather real-time purchasing information on a broad spectrum of Wallace print products and services including dynamic digital documents, before returning to Ariba's procurement solution to complete the purchase. Wallace uses the Ariba PunchOut feature with several of its @w.i.n.XS customers who already use the Ariba solution. "By completing Ariba Ready, Wallace has significantly increased its exposure to a wider market by being more readily accessible to thousands of buyers who are already using Ariba Spend Management solutions," said Cindy Elkins, VP Ariba Supplier Programs. "Ariba PunchOut gives customers seamless online access to Wallace while allowing Wallace to manage and preserve its branding and marketing efforts." "Wallace is pleased to continue its relationship with Ariba so we can maintain the extended service our customers want," said Ken O'Brien, Wallace's Vice President of Information Systems. "With Ariba and @w.i.nXS, Wallace provides its customers with unparalleled control over all aspects of printed materials; simplified processes; and helps drive cost savings through the entire life cycle of printed material procurement and management." Ariba Ready is an Ariba initiative to provide a special designation for suppliers who have demonstrated the ability to effectively transact with and provide content to organizations using Ariba Buyer through Ariba Supplier Network. The program helps suppliers communicate their capabilities by acting as a common standard for integration and enablement that all Ariba SN participants can understand and value. Suppliers can self-test their content and integration
