Paxar Acquires 10% Ownership in Disc Graphics

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y.--Feb. 5, 2003--Paxar Corporation announced that it acquired 10% of the equity of Disc Graphics, Inc., a diversified manufacturer and printer of specialty paperboard packaging. Disc has printing plants in Hauppauge, NY, Rockaway, NJ, and Burbank, CA. Its sales for the last year were approximately $50 million. Paul J. Griswold, President and Chief Executive Officer, stated, "Our investment in Disc Graphics provides Paxar with a valuable new alliance with a leading supplier of a broad range of innovative high quality graphic packaging. Our relationship with Disc increases our capabilities, which will enable us to provide value-added solutions for retail and brand apparel customers. Through this relationship, we can provide our customers with new and exciting ways to differentiate their products in a highly competitive marketplace. Expanding our concept to checkout value proposition is a key element in our growth strategy."
