Press release from the issuing company

HUDSON, N.H., Nov. 21 -- Presstek, Inc., a leading provider of direct digital imaging technology, today announced that Rolf Schutze has been appointed to the position of DI Business Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Schutze brings over 20 years experience in the printing and graphic arts field to his new position. Prior to joining Presstek, he worked at Barco Graphics for 12 years. While at Barco, he held the position of General Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as several positions in sales management. In his new position, Schutze is responsible for supporting and promoting Presstek's DI products to printers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. "The acceptance and growth of DI presses are a result of changing market conditions," said Schutze. "Print buyers are demanding top-quality printing, in a desired quantity, at a specific time, and at a competitive price. Presstek's DI technology revolutionized the world of offset printing. DI- enabled presses are designed to reduce labor, eliminate production steps, minimize production time, and reduce the manufacturing cost of a print job. This results in a more profitable and productive printing environment. I feel privileged to become part of Presstek's DI team and to promote this innovative printing technology." Presstek's General Manager, Off-press Stan Najmr said, "Schutze's appointment is in line with our market-focused strategy to increase our support program for our DI partners and customers. He brings an in-depth knowledge of the printing and the prepress markets to this position, as well as significant experience in distribution and marketing. I believe that Presstek DI customers and partners in the areas covered by Rolf will greatly benefit from his know-how and support."
