PIA Announces 2003 Chairman Michael Marcian

ALEXANDRIA, VA (November 18, 2002) – Michael A. Marcian, president of Corporate Press, Inc. in Landover, Maryland, was recently named chair of the Board of Directors for Printing Industries of America (PIA). The announcement was made at the joint GATF/PIA Board of Directors annual meeting November 17, 2002 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Marcian has long been involved with PIA, serving on the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, the Operating Committee, and numerous other committees and task forces. Recent highlights include the Long Range Planing Committee, Finance Committee, and Presidents Conference Advisory Committee. He recently served as the chairman of the Executive Development Program (EDP) Blue Ribbon Task Force. In addition, he is active with his local affiliate, Printing and Graphic Communications Association (PGCA), having served as PGCA’s president for 1996–1997. Marcian, originally from Detroit, Michigan, earned his BA degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1973. He is also a developer and homebuilder in Virginia. Residing in Maryland, Marcian and his wife, Carolyn, have two children and one grandson.
