Neopost Brings Entire Line of InkJet Mailing Systems To Full IBIP Compliance
Monday, November 18, 2002
Neopost, the worldwide provider of mailing, addressing, document handling and logistics systems, announces to the U.S. market that its entire line of Digital InkJet Mailing Systems is now fully compliant with the specifications of the United States Postal Service’s Information Based Indicia Program (IBIP). The USPS initiated the IBIP standards as a digital solution for reducing mail fraud, increasing levels of metered mail and making mail delivery more efficient for users. Neopost’s entire line of Digital InkJet Mailing Systems provides greater postage revenue security through a digitally signed barcode in the indicia. The digital signature verifies the integrity of the information in the barcode, which is automatically scanned for faster mail processing. IBIP also makes it easier for postage meter vendors to track and audit postage meter use. Postage meter users also benefit from faster mail delivery, professional appearance, and compliance with the latest USPS technology requirements. “We’ve been committed to assuring our customers of USPS compliance and we are excited to announce that we’ve brought our entire InkJet product line to full compliance,” said Carl Amacker, vice president of marketing at Neopost. Neopost’s series of digital IBIP products are designed to address a wide variety of mailing applications and markets. The IJ25 was the first system introduced in the series. Since then, Neopost has introduced the IJ35 and IJ45 for small businesses with occasional large-volume mailings, and the IJ75 and IJ105 for high-volume mailings. To address the performance gap between the IJ75 and IJ105, Neopost has today announced the availability of its IJ85. All Digital InkJet Mailing Systems are available through Neopost’s network of more than 150 branch offices and dealer locations throughout North America.
