Friday, November 15, 2002

Press release from the issuing company

One of Australia's Largest Financial Institutions Purchases Printcafe's EnterpriseSite Print E-Procurement and Project Management System PITTSBURGH, Nov. 14 -- Printcafe Software, Inc., the operating system for print(TM), today announced that Commonwealth Bank of Australia has selected Printcafe's EnterpriseSite(TM) solution for managing its enterprise-wide print procurement. One of the largest financial institutions in Australia, Commonwealth Bank joins other Printcafe customers, such as AOL Time Warner, Merrill Lynch and General Motors, in using Printcafe's print procurement technologies. By automating the print procurement process, Printcafe's EnterpriseSite allows corporations to gain greater control over the procurement of printed materials across their entire enterprise, thereby enabling cost savings and productivity improvements. Procurement professionals obtain greater visibility into, and control over, their print procurement expenditures. Print buyers and project managers benefit from automated tools to generate complex project specifications, request and approve quotations, select vendors, centrally manage print jobs and collaborate with suppliers online. "The EnterpriseSite will enable the Bank to collaborate both internally and with suppliers and we expect to realize significant time and cost savings through improved visibility and economies of scale," said Ross Peoples, General Manager, Group Procurement for Commonwealth Bank. "We selected Printcafe and its EnterpriseSite solution with advice from Cyberlynx, one of Australia's leading procurement service providers (PSP), to whom we outsource our procurement services. This initiative supports our vision to implement best practices in print procurement and complements our outsourcing efforts with Cyberlynx." "Commonwealth Bank is a key customer of Cyberlynx especially in the print category, with Cyberlynx providing procurement services for more than 20 supplier categories," said Christopher Deane, chief executive officer of Cyberlynx. "We have worked closely with the Commonwealth Bank in developing an optimal print supply chain solution. Following an extensive global evaluation of print e-procurement solutions, we recommended Printcafe as the technology partner for automating print procurement for the Commonwealth Bank. We look forward to introducing Printcafe's EnterpriseSite solution to our other large Australian PSP customers." "Commonwealth Bank is well-positioned to gain significant benefits from its EnterpriseSite print e-procurement solution and its print spend management initiative. We are fully committed to a successful, wide-scale deployment at Commonwealth Bank to help them realize these savings very quickly," said Marc Olin, Printcafe's President and CEO. "We view Commonwealth Bank and Cyberlynx as global leaders in e-commerce and e-procurement and look forward to furthering our relationship with both companies."
