Kennesaw, GA - Nov. 5, 2002 - Heidelberg is traveling across the country demonstrating its digital color press, the NexPress 2100. This digital road show is aimed at promoting new business for the local NexPress customer and will focus on personalized marketing through variable data and the opportunity of selling digital printing. "Heidelberg strives to support our customers in their success. With Heidelberg, our customers receive a partner for life," said Vahaaj Khan, director of digital product management, Heidelberg USA. The seminars will feature Elyse Rafferty from LB Works, a Leo Burnett company, and Sean Cummins, proprietor from Creative Digital in Chicago. Seminar topics include successful selling of variable data printing and the emerging use of 1-to-1 marketing and the increased impact is has on marketing campaigns. Rafferty will discuss whether or not advertising agencies are recommending variable data printing while Cummins will talk about his success with the NexPress 2100. "Variable data printing can be intimidating, until you realize how powerful and effective it can be. The key word in variable data printing is "data". The more powerful the data, the more powerful your communication can be," said Elyse Rafferty, senior account executive, LB Works. Heidelberg offers the seminars as a tool for educating customers about variable data printing at no cost. The road show offers two sessions -- one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Lunch is served at 12:00 p.m. for both sessions. On the Road with Heidelberg USA "As variable data printing is gaining popularity, we would like to use the NexPress road shows to bring the ad agencies, the marketing departments and the printer all in one room to make the variable data printing programs a success," said Khan. Road shows are being held in the following cities: Washington D.C on Nov. 13, Dallas, TX on Nov. 14 and New York City on Dec. 11.
