KPG: Jeff Jacobson to Chair Advisory Board for NYU Graphic Center

JACOBSON TO CHAIR ADVISORY BOARD FOR NYU CENTER FOR GRAPHIC COMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY Norwalk, Connecticut, USA – New York University’s Center for Graphic Communications Management and Technology recently appointed Jeff Jacobson, Chief Executive Officer of Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG), chairman of its advisory board. Jacobson joined the board in 1999. "Jeff embodies our mission to promote outstanding education and on-going development in graphic communications," said Gregory S. D’Amico, Ph.D., Director of NYU’s Center for Graphic Communications Management and Technology. "His experience in the graphic arts and commitment to education in our industry make him the ideal leader of our advisory board." Composed of distinguished leaders in the graphic communications industry, the advisory board operates as the field relations arm of the Graphic Communications Management and Technology academic program at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Education. The board focuses on creating an academic setting that fosters excellence in graphic communications education, dialogue to improve the field, and the development and continuing instruction of managers and leaders in graphic communications. Mr. Jacobson was named CEO of KPG in March 2000. He was formerly President, KPG, Americas, and a Corporate Senior Vice President of the organization. Mr. Jacobson joined KPG when it was formed in January 1998 as President of the United States & Canada Region and Corporate Vice President. Having guided KPG through a successful reengineering, as well as major global and domestic business acquisitions, Jacobson is a respected source on management in the graphic arts. He addressed the Printing Industries of America/GATF 2002 Board of Directors meeting on the topic of "How to Succeed in a Mature Market." Jacobson also serves on the board of directors for the Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF) and NPES. A management graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) Buffalo, Jacobson holds a master’s degree in industrial relations from the Cornell School of Industrial Relations. He additionally holds a juris doctor degree from Pace University School of Law and is admitted to the bar in New York and New Jersey.
